Make Up For Ever has always been one of my go-to brands for makeup. It all started with the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, which is still my favorite foundation to this day. But I hadn’t tried very many colors from MUFE… Until now!
I just got a batch of products from Make Up For Ever, including some colors and some flawless face picks. As expected, many of these turned out to be new favorites of mine, including the Artist Shadows, which I’ll be using in a tutorial very soon because they’re spectacular!
1. HD Invisible Cover Concealer
I figured since the HD foundation was so incredible, the concealer must be too… And I was right. The HD Invisible Cover Concealer gives me nice opaque coverage without looking heavy. It blends like a dream but I have to do one section at a time because it dries very quickly. Once I lay the product down in one area I get right to working blending it out for that smooth and seamless finish. I use #340, which is great for medium olive complexions.
2. Aqua Brow
This is the brow product to end all brow products. The gel formula allows me to place the color exactly where I want it, (usually in small strokes to mimic brow hairs) but it dries to a waterproof finish that’s soft and not overwhelming the way some brow products tend to be. And the tone of the particular color I have (Ash) is ideal for brows.
3. Compact Shine On
If you know me you know I’m heavy into highlighting! I have so many highlight products but I can never have enough, and I’m glad I discovered the Make Up For Ever Compact Shine On in #3, which is the perfect blend of pearl and gold. It’s not an overwhelming highlight but it’s just enough to catch the light and cast the most beautiful, healthy glow over the high points of my face. I would expect nothing different from Make Up For Ever; it’s a soft and natural but totally flawless highlight.
4. Artist Palette (Trio)
By now you may know about the limited edition Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Palette, which is a collection of 30 colors each hand selected by 30 of the industries most prominent artists. The shadows are still available individually and to create 3-color palettes the way I have in the photo. These shadows are like butter; they blend incredibly well and the color payoff is out of this world! Rich color, velvety texture, and super blendability… It’s all you can ask for out of an eye shadow formula.
5. Aqua Rouge
If staying power is what you’re after in a lip product, this is it. The Aqua Rouge lip color is lightweight, non-sticky, and practically bulletproof! I have it in Chestnut, which is a gorgeous and rich color, and I actually like to wear it without the gloss over it. But even with the gloss over the color the wear is extremely comfortable and non invasive.
